hello.
friend of Faithful Formation
The Faithful Formation Project is funded by a Christian Parenting and Caregiving Grant from the Lilly Endowment, awarded to Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Our purpose is to provide resources to caregivers and ministry professionals to equip the faithful formation of the next generation. We will accomplish this purpose in three ways: Research, Resources, and Events.
Our research consists of two major projects: Dr. Bradley Wigger's explorations of children's spirituality and Dr. Lesley Ann Earles' project entitled Faith of our Mothers.
Resources for faith formation will be available here where caregivers and ministry professionals alike can access research-based, therapeutically-informed materials that empower them to communicate faith to young people.
And finally, we will extend our reach to audiences both virtual and in person through seminars and workshops led by highly skilled experts in Christian formation. Check our Events page for information about upcoming opportunities!

EVENTS
We are hard at work, developing a variety of affordable educational opportunities for both caregivers and ministry professionals. Many events will take place both virtually and in person, either on campus at Louisville Seminary or in a church setting. More information will be published regularly through our Events page, which you can access through the button below.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
RESEARCH
The Faithful Formation Project funds two important research efforts. Dr. Bradley Wigger has conducted extensive research into children’s spirituality, and you can read more about the beginnings of that work in the article linked below. A book detailing his findings is in the works. Dr. Lesley Ann Earles is conducting ongoing research entitled The Faith of our Mothers, and here you will see links to the articles and book that are emerging from this work as they are published. You may also find promotions of exciting graduate student research in the area of faithful formation in this space!
